Welcome to our Web Presence

Here you’ll find some answers, a few questions and an invitation. If you would like to bring Spirituality back into an intentional part of your life, but are human then we might be able to travel together. You are welcome, no matter who or what you are. Thank you for finding us.

What We Are

The church here in the desert is a smallish congregation of between 60 and 120 people – from all walks of life, who wish to come together to find ways of modelling the divine today. We are open and inclusive (as everyone says they are) but have a radical call to acceptance and celebration of human diversity.

We are a member of Metropolitan Community Churches – started in 1968 by our founder, Troy Perry to tackle exclusion and hatred within the Christian church, and we have felt a strong, (but not exclusive) call to ministry within the LGBTQ community ever since. We are active in over 20 countries.

What to Expect

Hospitality. Without hospitality all our faith is hot air.

Fellowship. We all grow in fellowship, and give and gain from one another’s kindness, wisdom and testimony.

Mystery. In the songs and sacraments, the words and the prayers of worship we seek the unseen God, and accept that God is beyond our definitions and limits, and that as creatures of the living God we too are greater than we ever guessed.

And more…
